Stephen P. Banco, MD of Wyomissing, Berks County, PA was recently appointed to the editorial review board of Clinical Spine Surgery. Dr. Banco, President of Keystone Spine and Pain Management, has been a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Spinal surgeon since 2002. Dr. Banco’s new role will be to review and critique original spinal research submitted for publication to the journal.
Dr. Banco will join a prestigious staff of physicians such as Alan Hilibrand, MD, Todd Albert, MD, and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Vaccaro, MD, of the Rothman Institute, where Dr. Banco trained. Formerly of The Reading Neck and Spine Center, Dr. Banco opened Keystone Spine and Pain Management to focus on neck and back issues treated both operatively and non-operatively. Eighty-percent of Dr. Banco’s patients are treated non-operatively with successful outcomes.
Those requiring surgery get conservative, minimally-invasive care when possible. Dr. Banco has published original research throughout his career. Most recently he has authored two book chapters in Spinal Surgery to be published in 2016, also with editor Alexander Vaccaro, MD.
