What Does Telemedicine Mean?

Telemedicine (also referred to as “telehealth” or “remote visit”) allows health care professionals to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients using telecommunications technology. Telemedicine allows patients to access medical expertise quickly, efficiently and without travel to the healthcare provider’s physical office location.

Due to the current State of Emergency in the United States that was caused by the Coronavirus covid-19, we have been granted the temporary authority to communicate with our patients over the telephone or via Facetime, without the need for any special apps or other software.
